children a few keys points stood out. For a child to experience the useful benefits of using the
Internet there needs to be a lot of adult involvement. Parents must communicate clearly and try
and have an open relationship with their child to insure that both parties are clear on what is
appropriate and what is not. Help is available. For parents if they are unsure of how to approach
certain subjects or unsure of the risks themselves, there is plenty of information and guidelines
provided on the internet. Sexual predators and paedophiles are not uncommon so it is a serious
issue. But with productive communication between a parent and a child, children can begin to
